Four generations of Bruntons have been farming in Angus and Easter Ross, and the family has been supplying Albert Bartlett for over 25 years. James is running the business now and provides us with beautifully fresh, tasty tatties. You can see James on the right in our photo, beside his grandfather Hugh and father Douglas. The family also provides us with sweet Highland baby potatoes from Easter Ross,
The mild climate coupled with our soil makes the regions of Angus and Easter Ross some of the best areas for potato production in the whole of Scotland.
The potatoes are planted in late March and April and harvested in August and September.
You can’t beat a boiled spud – but if you steam them instead, did you know they keep more of their flavour?
