The sandy soils of Moray are ideal for growing potatoes, being rich in organic matter, with good drainage and aeration
SEASONALITY
The potatoes are planted in late March and April and harvested in August and September.
FUN FACT FROM SCOTTY
You might be tucking into a wind powered tattie! Phillip has installed a 100 metre wind turbine to generate electricity which enables the farm to run off renewable power.
