In deepest Perthshire, William and Graham are part of our family of growers and with their father, the late Graham Sr, they have been working with Albert Bartlett for a whopping 30 years, which shows that they really get what we’re all about and their commitment to the highest quality matches ours.
At last, a reason to celebrate the Scottish climate! It brings out the best in our rich soil, and makes it perfect for growing our perfect potatoes. And these beauties are in no rush. It takes a whopping 200 days of careful cultivation to go from planting our tatties to harvesting them. That seems a long time….but tattily worth it.
The potatoes are planted in late March and April and harvested in August and September.
The potato itself is a tuber. Most potato plants are grown from a tuber, but a mature plant also has fruit containing seeds which grow above ground and are similar in size to a cherry tomato.
