300g Scotty Brand Chippy Chips
220g Steak of your choice (rib-eye or sirloin)
Olive Oil
1 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic
Chopped Parsley
1 cup of grated cheese (Cheddar or Mozzarella)
Oven bake the Chippy Chips for 20 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 220C or place evenly into an air fryer. Season the chips with salt and pepper when finished.
Prepare your steak of choice by rubbing a good dash of olive oil all over it.
Season the steak with a generous amount of salt and pepper! (I’m talking loads, for a flavourful steak) - I use a pepper mill.
In a skillet, drizzle some olive oil making sure it is on a high heat. Place the steak onto the hot skillet. I like my steak medium-rare, which needs around 2 mins on each side. Turn the steak over after about 2min to get a nice brown sear.
Add butter and garlic to the skillet and baste the steak with the melted butter for another 2min.
Set your steak aside to rest and let it cool slightly before you slice it.
Melt your cheese on a baking tray in the oven for 5min at 200C and pour it all over the chips when ready.
Add your sliced steak on top, garnish with the parsley and voila!
