Masala Chips

Ingredients

500g Scotty Brand Chippy Chips
2tbsp Oil
1 Onion, finely sliced
1/2 Red Pepper, finely sliced
1/2 Yellow Pepper, finely sliced
1 1/2tbsp Spice Pots Tandoori Masala Curry Powder
(Coriander, cumin, chilli powder, black pepper, cinnamon, fenugreek, cardamom, cloves, ginger powder, garlic powder, nutmeg)
3tbsp Tomato Ketchup
2tbsp Sriracha (hot chilli sauce)
1/2tsp Salt
1/2tbsp Lemon Juice

Garnish Options
Pinch of Coriander Leaves
1/2 Red Chilli, thinly sliced
Sesame Seeds
2tsp Chilli Flakes

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven 220°C /Fan 200°C/Gas Mark 7 or air fryer.

  2. Place chips on a baking tray or evenly into air fryer and cook for around 20-25 minutes, turning halfway.

  3. Alternatively, preheat deep fryer to 190°C and fry chips for approximately 4 minutes.

  4. Heat oil in a large frying pan before adding the onion and peppers. Allow to cook for 3-4 minutes or until softening.

  5. Add your Spice Pots Tandoori Masala spice blend and cook for a further minute. Stir mix to ensure onions and peppers are well coated.

  6. Add tomato ketchup, Sriracha, lemon juice and a pinch of salt to the mix. Stir and cook for a further 1-2 minutes.

  7. Add your chips to the mix and give a final stir to coat evenly. Garnish and serve immediately!

  8. Enjoy!
